HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Well another year has almost flown by! I am thankful for so much that I can't name it all. I am thankful for my husband Jason. We almost always don't see eye to eye, but we feel heart to heart. Definitely for my son, Zachary, and what he teaches me on a daily basis. For Lucas, even though he hasn't come out yet I know he will just be the perfect addition to our family. Very grateful to have all of our friends and family! We love you all! (That's my turkey that I made this year...it just cracks me up!)

Here is Zachary in his Turkey mask:

Waiting on the parade....very early morning, but we are still trying to smile...

Definitely was a bit too early for Zachary so here is ChaCha trying to lighten his mood..

The parade wasn't very big at all so we just had a few balloons:

Here are our favorite floats:

For most of the parade Zachary had this face on...

Then right about the end of the parade it ended looking like this...

Baby room update

I finally was able to finish the baby bumper & bed skirt. I found a nice semi-matching stripe material on sale for 50% off! Then just used my creativity and went to town. So for $12 bucks I did both the bumper & bed skirt. I decided to take a scrap piece of material from the baby blanket and cut out the little animals and words. Since it is fleece it won't unravel so I took the easy way and used a super no sew adhesive =)

Then I found at iKea this really cute jungle leaf that you can hang over the bed/crib. I so totally bought it. Just added some nice peel & stick jungle stickers. The next big thing to do is the floor!

I also was rambling down an aisle I just typically don't go down, but I spotted this material. Sure enough it was the flannel version of the fleece blanket we got for Lucas! Don't know quite what I'm going to do with it, but just couldn't pass it up!

Mourning the loss of our friend...

On Friday, November 21, 2008 at roughly 9:52 am, we lost a very beloved friend due to a 5 dollar plastic toy hammer. See pictures below:

Yep that's right it's our 2 year old 40" beautiful flatscreen tv. It wasn't all of Zachary's fault as I should have been downstairs when he had his best friend Alyson over. Of course I just had to step away a second and come back down to that! Whoever said it's terrible two's were liars! Terrible three's is more like it! He then promptly told me that he could fix it. Well atleast we do have a back up tv and it still works...but the picture just isn't the same...

I mean seriously could you really picture this sweet face doing something like that??

Ok maybe not this one!

In other news, we got all of our animals fixed over the last few weeks and I just had to post a picture of poor Troy in his funnel. It really was quite amusing to see him wearing it. He wore it for like 2 weeks before we could take it off. He really looks very depressed.

In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.....

It's been a long time coming to update Zachary's baby room into a Big Boy room. Finally it has been completed. Let's start with what it did look like 3 years ago....

So first thing first is to remove the wallpaper border. It was actually easier than I thought it would be as I only used water and hosed it down.

I tested out the new color over the blue and it didn't look so hot. So next it was primer time..

And the chosen color choice is....

I loved the color at the first roll. Definitely a pumpkin color. Thank goodness I have excellent family to do the dirty work for me! Can't get enough of these masks!

Then it was Zachary's turn to put his mark in his room.

Now comes the accessories...

Here is a 360 pictures of his room. Really got inspired from his favorite show Little Einsteins. They have this really cute rocket and he just loves it.

We hired a local artist (his cousin Kagan) to paint this picture for his room.... Not bad for an 8 year old!

Zachary loves his new room! It was fun and should stay this way for atleast another 3 + years.
