QUARANTINED!

I've hit yet again another fun moment in this pregnancy. I found out yesterday that I have the flu! Mind you there is nothing I can take other than a nasal spray and a night time cough suppressant. I'm absolutely miserable. Can't sleep longer than 2 hours at a time as that is about how long it takes my mouth to become completely dry. I don't have the luxury of breathing through my nose. New spots on my body ache and the aches I already had ache double what it has been lately. The Dr. is extremely worried about me getting the flu so late in pregnancy. With Lucas sitting high, my lungs aren't able to expand fully so extreme shortness of breath is a concern for both me and Lucas. Kind of need oxygen. She said in many cases of pregnant woman having the flu in their third trimester has quickly turned into Bronchitis &/or Pneumonia. Which will then require hospitalization. So in hopes of avoiding that, I've been told to quarantine myself in the house for 2 full weeks. I am not allowed to go anywhere but where I absolutely have to (like those weekly O.B. visits). I guess this is what I get for whining about how long my last 5 weeks of pregnancy is taking. Now I need to watch out for Zachary or Jason getting it. So that I don't get it again. I'm still contagious as my fever hasn't broken yet. They say you are contagious 5 days for an adult and 10 days for kids. I'm on my 6th box of Kleenexes and my last strand of sanity. Pray for me please!

More and more and more OB visits...

So from here on out I get to see the OB every week until Lucas comes. The part I like the best is that I get to have a sonogram everytime as well! Yippie more pictures for the baby book. Lucas weighs 4lbs 4oz already. Today he didn't want to turn around so I could see his face. Currently he is facing towards my back so instead got a nice shot of the back of his head. He is definitely flexible as one of his feet is sitting right next to his head the whole time. With that rather nice picture of his melon, he has lots of noticeable hair already! Zachary came out with a full head and I was definitely curious to see if this one will.

If he has a leg all the way up there, no wonder he hurts! So lately I've just ballooned out. Here are some shots I took today to show what I'm looking like now....

Anybody up for a game of basketball? I got the ball...ha ha! I'm on major countdown of course! The c-section has been officially scheduled for March 9th. So unlesss something else happens (which I doubt) that is his birthday! Yeah 5 more weeks!

Randomness...

I thought I'd share some randomness with you. One of our recent Family Home Evenings, we were talking about family and how we will soon have a new addition to our family. Jason had found these mugs at Bed, Bath and Beyond. So the idea was to draw our family on the mugs. Well I think I was the only one that got the idea, but it was fun to see what Zachary and Jason did. Here is Zachary's mug:

Here is Jason's mug: (He really didn't hear me so it was filled with computers and his car...then when I noticed I was like um what about our family....so he got creative and filled us in..ha ha)

Here was the actual idea of what I was looking for...

I know what fabulous work of art...ha! Just yesterday I was at Wal-mart and found this cute onsie...

I don't know if anybody remembers, but I put a "Born in 2005" on Zachary for his first picture in the hospital:

And so I've been looking for one for Lucas and viola it was just hanging there...yippie! Now as long as I can remember to actually put it on when the time comes.... Also, I found a cute piggie bank like the one we had gotten for Zachary.

Zachary was really sweet about his brother's piggie bank that when it was put together he instantly found some coins to fill it up for him.

My First Sunbeam

I can't believe it my first Sunbeam! For those of you that don't know what that means, it's the first real Sunday school class that Zachary goes into. They first start off in Nursery at 18 months. In nursery, they play with toys, take a walk, have a small lesson, sing some songs and have a snack. In Sunbeams, they have a longer lesson and have a sharing time with the older kids. It's a really good start for Zachary as it helps him learn to sit still and listen to the teacher almost as if he was in school. We are hoping to get him into Pre-K this year so this is a good start. He unfortunately wasn't able to attend class today as he is still trying to get over a cold. He was pretty disappointed. However, I had already purchased him new church clothes for his Sunbeam class. So we atleast went for Sacrament and met with his teachers so that next Sunday he will know who his teachers are. We felt it was important to get him into the habit of proper Sunday dress early on. He loves the idea he looks like daddy! He's so darn cute it makes me want to cry!
