Close call

Sammy our recent take in started getting fatter and fatter. Yep sure enough she was pregnant.

Well I was going to post those pictures this morning stating we were waiting on kitties....apparently I didn't post fast enough as she had her kitties yesterday afternoon.

I was really nervous about where she would pick her spot. Just knowing that she would end up doing it in my bed or something stupid. I got lucky though as I was in my bathroom when she started. So I shut her in my bathroom and she settled in the tub. Close call...

UFO's completed

I have to say this turned out to be one of my favs. A modern quilt for Hien's little Stella coming soon =).

I just kind of felt I should use a rounded version...which one you like better square or round? I don't know if you can read it, but it says on the other sides Heaven "Scent".

I had left over fabric so I wanted to do something else with it.....I mod podged fabric to some wooden letters I found at Hobby Lobby. This is definitely a repeater...

This is what 110 squares lookes like before sewing together. My MIL's quilt is done...check.

This is what interruption looks like:

My first label! I finally gotten around to doing it. So what do you think?

I made this for a lovely couple from church. They taught the Strengthening Marriage class we recently attended.

Brushing up on my handstitching with this project. I couldn't not put in the windows!

One of my favorite features was this fountain..

Can't even come close to the real thing:

Well that's it for now. I do have other projects ready to get a going.

Back to the grind...

Jason has found employment with Taylor Morrison Home Builders. He starts next Tuesday and we couldn't be happier! Excellent insurance for the whole family is probably my favorite part. He will work 3 days in Houston office and 2 days in the Austin office. Which is not a bad drive from here. At almost 4 months, a little separations is good news. I'm sure it will get old fast, but it might not be a permanent thing. I have to say for sure Heavenly Father is the only thing that has kept us afloat. All thanks belong to Him.

New projects

So anybody that talks to me on a daily basis knows I love a couple of sewing/crochet projects going on at once. It's nice because then I can pick and choose what I'm in the mood for. I'm all about variety.

My cousin, Dana, had asked me to make her a crochet toaster cover. Well they didn't have patterns for that atleast not one for this century. So I just picked a pattern and went after it. It turned out pretty good for my first toaster cover (not that it's in high demand or anything...ha ha). I thought I was pretty smart in putting a handle on top so you can remove it easily.

I even threw in some cute pillowcases for my nephews =).

My UFO's (Unfinished Objects) are:
Baby blanket for Hien's little Stella coming soon!
Finishing touches on Marth's new bed quilt
A crochet throw for Aunt Jan
Dana's boys baby clothes quilt
A new pillowcase for Lucas
