New watering hole

Since we don't actually live in the Houston city limits, it is quite woody out here. Every now and then we find these little watering holes. I was watching my sister's kids and decided to give it try. I have to say we only took Zachary to the beach once and he hated every minute of it. I think it was more of the saltwater that he hated. So this is our new creek beach! Lucas loved just digging in the sand and occasionally sitting by the water. He was pretty leery of it. The first time I walked him to the shore his feet sunk in the sand and so he put his hands down to get his feet free and went face first in the water! D'oh. After that he just liked sitting at the shore. Kagan, Dylan and Zachary just loved wading through the creek. Definitely will go again.

Here he goes again...

Jason decided today to take off Zachary's training wheels. He just figured that since he can balance on a scooter why not his bike. Went a long way on his first try! I couldn't be prouder. Now if he will only turn around...(He says it "freaks" him out...)

Another mama blanket

So I'm sure you are getting tired of hearing/seeing my creations, but I just love this one. Lucas' Nana blanket was made out of fleece which was a great idea until now. Summer is coming faster and faster. I was in my Wal-Mart and they were having a 50% off all fabric!! I was in HEAVEN! I restrained myself to some really cute boy fabric. $20 bucks for like 9 yards of fabric. Sweet! So here's what I did.

I'm officially a hooker....

I have to say since I have gotten more practice, I really love crocheting. It's a nice portable thing to do. *Please note I don't make the patterns...I just follow them. I'm not that creative =).
Here are my latest:

This I made for Zachary. He wanted one so I figured why not.

Finally I made something for me. I just had to try out this bag pattern and I really was so suprised that it worked out correctly! I definitely would have made it bigger. So next time, I'm thinking a bright red one with some cool black and white lining...

My first lining project and I have to say it wasn't too bad at all.

This I made for a new friend that decorates cakes. Cute, huh?
