Didn't know he could do this until the other day. Might be time to take off the training wheels...

No more puree...
Since the Dr. has said that we could start giving him table food he prefers that over his baby food. So no more baby jar food for him. Here are some recent shots...
He couldn't wait for his first cheeto!
When one wasn't enough...
Asleep with graham cracker all over him...

Checkups
Lucas got his 6 month check up on Friday. He is one healthy boy. He is now 29 1/2 inches long (95%), 19 lbs (75-90%) and his head is 17 1/2 inches (50-75%). He grew like 4 inches and added on 2 lbs and 1/2 an inch on his head from his 4 month check up. He has his 2 bottom teething inching it's way upwards. It now hurts when he chops down on your finger! My little piranha....I'm so proud...ha! I thought it would be a great idea to do both Lucas' 6 month check up and Zachary's 4 year check up together. Boy was I ever wrong! Lucas got 3 shots in his legs and Zachary got 4! So I had crying children hanging all over me. I guess in hindsight I'm glad it's over. Poor Zachary he started screaming before he even got a shot. Zachary now is 39 3/4" tall (25-50%) and 36.6 lbs (50-75%). Even the Dr. mentioned that she thinks Lucas will end up being taller than Zachary. Poor kid! Imagine having your younger brother being taller than you. Cripes! Anyway, they have all recovered and back to their normal selves.

Welcome --Emily Jane--!!
Emily was born today at 11:18am weighing 5lbs and 13oz and 19 inches long. Got a head full of hair and chubby cheeks!
Zachary just couldn't wait to be able to see Emily! Me either!
I definitely enjoyed holding her, but come to think of it I was also excited it wasn't me in the hospital this time.

I just had to put this bib on Lucas that said "Boys are Better". Biased? YES!!!
Alyson excited to see her sister!
Alyson's faces just crack me up. She held her for like a few seconds and was like ok I'm done. Ha! Sisterly love already...
The old pro's turn...he was more than willing to hold Emily.

Mama's blanket
I did finish Zachary's quilt for his bed. His much beloved Nana's blanket needed to be put up as it was getting all ripped up from the inside out. So I was prepping him before his birthday came that we would have to put blankie away and mama will make him a new one. I found a really cute pattern called Bug Jar. Instead of putting bugs, I put lizards, snakes, turtles & frogs. So once I finished we put blankie up in his closet at the top so he could see it and he has started using what he calls his "Mama's blankie".

Dodging babies & corner ZZZZ's
The kids were upstairs playing and I kept hearing this banging going on. It sounded like they were jumping off of something so I ran up quickly...this is what they were doing.
I put Zachary in the corner because he was just plain out being a pill. After a few mintues of crying and a lot of "Can I come out?" I look over and grabbed the camera.
I really don't know how he fell asleep that way as the floor is dang hard! Don't worry I moved him to the couch (even though that day I felt like leaving him!)
I really love Alyson like she is my own and am so glad he has somebody to play with!
Mama & Hands and knees
Lucas said Mama! I really couldn't believe it when I heard it. I've been saying it to him since birth so that he would say it first instead of Dada! Zachary said Dada first and I wasn't going to let this one (if I could help it). He was kind of mad when he said, but none the less. I've been trying to get a video of it since and just hasn't happened. The one I got this time was just one Ma, but it counts to me!
And lo and behold, he has started getting up on his hands and knees. He'll be 6 months next Tuesday!
