Count down is on...

Went to my last OB appointment today and glad that I'll get a break from going for at least a couple of weeks. Wesley is weighing 7lbs and 4oz. I'm guessing that he will probably end up a 6 lb-er. We've got 6 more days! We are going to love him just as much as we love these other two boys. Now if I can only keep myself from doing too much...

Apparently I'm not the only one that passes out on the couch here lately..

Untimely Repairs..

In the -let's get everything done before the baby- stage, Jason was beginning to repair some of our trim by our back sliding glass door it turned into a nightmare. He pulled off some of the trim to realize that our frame was rotting and had some mold. Which is horrible as it's a load bearing support for our 2nd level. I had a mini panic attack while he checked the other side. It wasn't as bad, but did have mold and needed to be replaced as well. What we have concluded is that when the house was built they did not put in proper flashing/sealing to keep the water from seeping in. It's only a 7 year old house! Shortcuts were definitely taken and at this point we hope they didn't take any others! Luckily I have an excellent Mr. Fixer for a husband! He did this...

Isn't my husband just the best ever! We could initially just pull out the sliding glass door and put it back in with the proper flashing/sealing, but the door already had a pane busted so we are going to replace it all together. We are having Lowe's install the french doors since we didn't want to take the chance of it not being done right again. I'm happy for the change in doors but not happy with the timing. We still have not had the door installed as it's not a quick process, but we received word today that they will have it installed on Wednesday! Fingers crossed it goes nice and smoothly! Hopefully I'll be able to get the house cleaned before the baby comes!

Wesley update!

Everything is moving along normally. Went to the Dr. again on Wednesday and he weighs 6lbs and 4oz. Moving and grooving just like normal. I finished his blanket a few weeks ago and glad I was able to get it done before he comes.

Lucas' new blanket

So Lucas basically chewed the entire corners off of his old blanket and I just had to make him another one. I finished a long time ago, but forgot to post. He recently started chewing on his new blanket corners! I'm not really sure why he feels the need to do it, but what can I do? I'd definitely rather him chew on his blanket than his nails..

03-06-12

So I heard from the doctor's office on Thursday that they have scheduled my C-Section for March 6th at 1:30pm! So I have about 7 weeks left and it's gonna fly by. I love knowing exactly when the baby comes. I'm 31 weeks along and feeling like a punching bag. They weighed him 2 weeks ago and he was 2lbs 11oz. Now he is weighing in at 3lbs 14oz and he has lots of hair! That just makes me more excited to see him and what color his hair is. Jason was the one to point out that the date doubles which will make it much easier to remember. I wish Wesley and  Lucas' birthday were farther apart (only 3 days!), but it is what it is. I have to go to the doctor's every week now until the C-section and I get a sonogram every time so you better believe I'll have a whole album worth. Here are a few from the past 2 weeks.

Pictures with Santa

I wasn't really sure how Santa pictures would go this year since Lucas for sure didn't like it last year. Well I think this year was worse.. There is a little town over near us called Old Town Springs and every year they have a Santa booth. $2 bucks if you use your own camera or $5 if they take one for you. Can't beat that deal and the people are very nice. Lucas was ok until he saw Santa up close and then he hit the roof.

He started clinging..

And seconds later..

He wouldn't even sit in Jason's lap to take one picture...so this was the best that we got. Merry Christmas!

Catch up post!

I didn't realize until today that I haven't updated the blog in several months. So here goes a few in one post... Lucas a while ago learned how to pedal with his feet. He's had the trike since he was 2, but would only use his feet to scoot him around. Zachary learned how to ride a bike with training wheels at 3 so I was pretty sure Lucas would too. So I guess we need to get Zachary's old bike dusted off and see what Lucas will do then..

We (as in my mother =) painted the baby's room a nautical blue color. We just don't know how to do pastel-y colors I guess. I really feel behind with getting Wesley's room done compared to the other 2, but I still got 2 1/2 months (eek!). I let Lucas 'help' prime the room since we needed to cover up the bright orange. Zachary was at school which saved us a lot of interruptions. Finished product..

This is pretty much what Lucas was doing while the painting went on...

Lucas' painted these balloons

This is what he looked like after stage 1...I forgot to get a picture of what he looked like after the other stages...he was a mess!

Ship Ahoy!

In other news, Zachary has finally lost a tooth! He's had teeth since he was 3 months old so I thought they would come out before now, but I guess not. He will probably loose them in clusters...

Can you see the excitement?!

Luckily I had the foresight to make the 'Tooth Marshall' pillow before it fell out. I never liked the idea of trying to get it out from under the pillow knowing he would pop up the moment the door opened. So found this tutorial to make this and thought oh yeah. He hung it on the outside on the door knob. The pocket is the mouth on the T.M. and it worked fabulously.

Ballunar Festival at NASA

So this year we wanted to go to the Ballunar Festival out at NASA. We went when Zachary was just walking so it's been a while. Part of the festival is that NASA is open from 9-4pm. So we were able to see other sections that we haven't been able to see during other visits such as the Mission Control Room & etc. It was quite windy outside so that stopped/delayed some of the air activities planned, but still was able to see a lot.

Tram ride..

We were all glad to get out of the car...

Part of the restored Saturn V rocket..

It's so large that you can't get it all in a picture..

The actual historical control room...

Looked exactly like in the movies!

Big screens..

In the viewing room...

Say NASA!

The watches and patches from each space mission

Future astronaut

Ride em' cowboy!

He didn't even fall off partly due to the fact it wasn't going fast, but he was proud all the same..

Lucas watching the mini helicopters zooming around..

Happy together cousins!

Clowning around..

Lucas and his Nana

Finally some hot air balloons...

Flame up!

A few more..

After a few of them did a flame up he got a bit scared

And there they go..

Really neat to see them right up close...I think at our last count there was atleast 30.

It was a great time. Not something we will go to every year since it's so far away, but each time we go there is always something else new.
