Lucas' giggle

He's been giggling off and on for about a week now, but haven't been able to record it till now...

Odds and Ends...

Zachary decided to pull some of Lucas' laundry out of the dryer for me, but instead of putting it into a basket...he put it on (lucas' pants and all)...ha... He looks like a ballet dancer or something...

With it getting hotter outside, it was time to pull out the sprinkler. This was Zachary's idea of playing in the sprinkler..

I had so much fun making Granny's quilt, I decided to make Anna's baby a quilted blanket. The theme for Emily's nursery is ladybugs. So I took Anna to the fabric store and let her pick out the fabrics. I chose a quilt pattern that is called Hugs & Kisses. So 363 squares and 112 rectangles later....

About this point I realized that I could make an "E" out of the extra squares I had so it ended a bit different...

Lucas' Baby Blessing

Today was a great day! One of the many since Lucas was born. He definitely makes our family complete. Jason's dad came into town to see Lucas for the first time and participate in his blessing. Ginger, his wife, made the most adorable blessing outfit for Lucas. Which came as a complete surprise as I was just going to use the blessing outfit she made for Zachary. THANK YOU GINGER!! He went for his 2 month checkup on Wednesday and he weighs a whopping 13lb 7oz. He is also 23 3/4" long. The best part is that he is smiling up a storm and starting to giggle. Enjoy!

Here's our 3 generations of Suter boys!
The first actual on purpose smile that I was able to get a picture of....

The one on the left is Zachary's and the other one is Lucas'.

Testing out the outfit before the big day...fits perfectly!

Here we go..

Mother's Day weekend

This year we went up to Longview for Mother's Day weekend for a couple of reasons. 1. My oldest sister Heather graduated from Kilgore College. 2. Cheyenne asked Jason to baptize her. 3. For Granny to see 10th grandchild. Ofcourse, we were able to throw in going to see Seth's field day and doing some family pictures for my mom.

The graduation went fabulous with the kids being pretty quiet sitting in the front row. I'm so proud of my sister for graduating from college! She worked really hard and graduated with honors. She is such a beautiful person inside and out. She has always been a great example to me and I love her dearly!

I'm so grateful that I have a worthy Priesthood holder that is able and willing to use it. Jason did a wonderful job. Cheyenne was very excited to be baptized and to have everybody down to see her make that commitment.

Granny was very excited to see us and see Lucas. She held him as long as she could and was happy. I gave her my present for Mother's Day, a quilt. Not just some old quilt, but one made by yours truly! She loved it and it made all the work definitely worth it! Granny was the perfect seamstress so I just knew she would appreciate something sewn by one of her granddaughters.

Catching up...

I've got ton of stories to tell and pictures to post. So here goes.

Zachary decided to catch a lizzard and put it in his easter basket. I ofcourse was focused on something else when he shoved the basket in my face and the lizzard jumped. I told him to go put the lizzard back outside because he needs to go find his mama. Zachary then told me "He's my best friend, I love him." So I told him that he could hold it until lunch time (20 mins away) and then he had to put it outside. Next thing I know he came back upstairs with a bandaid in hand telling me the lizzard's tail is bleeding. Sure enough somehow the very tip of the tail was gone and it was bleeding. So we let the poor traumatized lizzard go. Here is the picture of him and his "best friend."

Me and Mom took the older boys to the zoo and had a great time. Zachary loved seeing the animals. Here is a picture of them all.

One night while watching tv, me and Jason kept hearing a barking noise outside. Jason went out to look and found this really cool bright green tree frog. So we took a picture of it. I LOVE MY CAMERA!

Lucas is being more awake everyday. He started smiling just recently, but it's so random it's hard to get a picture of it. It's one big goofy grin. He has finally started sleeping six solid hours at night and we are in Heaven! Here are some recent pictures of my chunky boy.

Jason's version of watching Lucas...they look so much alike!!

Here is my happy boy!

Personal Goal...

I've been thinking a lot about being able to shed this baby weight. 6 week mark is tomorrow and that is about when they let you return to "normal activities". I honestly can't wait. Goals are terrific things and I decided that I wanted to up my previous goal of running a 5K to running a 10K (6.2 miles). I've already ran 3 5K's in the last few years and loved the feeling of being able to run across the finish line. So over the weekend I bought me a new pair of running shoes and I'm ready to go on Monday. I literally have 6 weeks before the 10K on June 6th so wish me luck! In other news, Lucas slept 6 solid hours last night and I'm hoping that keeps on continuing. I know it doesn't last forever and I already see changes in him. He definitely has gotten longer and getting a pot belly. Did I fail to mention he rolled over at 4 weeks? I thought it was a fluke at first so I put him on his belly again and there he went. He probably rolls over atleast once a day. I'm trying to get a video of it without him getting mad. Zachary is being Zachary. Definitely loves to go visit everybody. The cast definitely does not slow him down a bit. His newest thing is building a tent out of our dining room table. Imagination is alive for sure. Jason has been wonderful with everything and helping out as much as he can. Family is great! I truly feel blessed for what Heavenly Father has given me.

Easter pics

This year for Easter I found a Easter Egg stamp kit and a paint roller kit at Target. So we did it for one of our Family Home Evenings. I wouldn't have done it the egg dying way with Zachary because I'm sure Zachary would have tried to dye the house. Zachary dove right on in and we created some pretty eggs. Then our church had a Easter Egg hunt at the park that Zachary participated in. It's safe to say Zachary was strung out on Easter candy for a couple of days thereafter. We had a good time. I thought it would be fun to put Zachary's Easter basket outside his bedroom door that way when he woke up he would come out and see it. It worked, but not the way I thought it would go. Lucas had been pretty fussy that night and I just got to lay back down when 30 mins later Zachary woke up. I honestly don't remember a thing after that. I thought Zachary would come show me his basket, but he didn't. So I woke up to cleaning up a mess of Easter grass, candy and wrappers. Which in return made us late to church. Oh well better luck next time I guess. I hope everybody had a nice Easter.

This is what Lucas did while we were doing Easter Eggs.
