And a Happy "To" Year

Zachary has been singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy "To" Year. Just yesterday I realized he was saying "to" instead of new. Cracked me up.

We hope everybody has a terrific New Year!

Pictures from Zachary's camera

Doesn't take the best quality picture especially when he doesn't hold it still, but he's getting a huge kick out of it all ready. Enjoy!

Hodge podge post

I do love to keep trying new things. So this time around I've picked up crocheting. It was extremely aggravating at first trying to figure it out, but I just didn't want to give up. Finally figured it out and love it.

For Christmas present this year, I made my nieces and nephews their own pillowcases & bought them new pillows.

On Christmas Eve, we took the kiddos to an inflatable jumping place so they could work off some energy. I decided to get in on the fun and totally biffed it. I know the sign said to go feet first, but I thought it would be hilarious to have Zachary riding on my back as I'm going head first. Dummy! I was ok until the bend and did a major face plant. It's a total rubber burn which stung like 100% more. So I get to look like this for weeks until it heals!

Merry Christmas!!

I hope everybody had a great Christmas and remembered Christ and his sacrifice for us. I have a friend in Idaho that does Christmas gifts a bit differently. She gives her children 3 gifts symbolic of the 3 gifts that Christ received from the Magi. I just love it as it ties the meaning of Christmas back to Christ. So Jason and I decided that we would start that as our new family tradition. I really really hate greedy children!! I think doing it this way will hopefully cut some of that off and help our kids learn to choose gifts that they really want not just go for everything. And I have to say, Zachary didn't even notice the difference! It was a great Christmas.

New ride

Went for Lucas' 9 month check up and he is now 30 inches long and weighs 22 lbs. Definitely has gotten too big for his baby seat so we got a new one for him. Which was a great deal at Sam's. On the tag it said $79, but when I got up there to ring it up it was $69! It's a nice seat. Children really do grow up fast don't they?!

Santa mail and a bit o' snow

Walking!!!

So Lucas has finally decided to let go and here he is. I'm in for it now...

Christmas lights

Once again, Christmas is here! Yippie. I just love Christmas. With the wonderful assistance of my sister Charleen, we were able to put up the lights before Jason got home. I don't mind getting on the roof as much as Charleen or Jason does. So here are the new pictures of this years design. Next year, I'm going to get all new LED lights...

Janner, Suter, Osburn, Henson & Giles Thanksgiving

We were wonderfully invited to *Cousins CM & Judy's house for this years Thanksgiving get together. We were greeted by the bleats of goats and a sheep. Their next door neighbor has what Judy refers to as a "Ranchette". All kinds of animals running around Zachary was very excited to see them. We arrived right on time to start pigging out and we did. We had a great time. Enjoy!

*Technically they are our cousins so excuse my dementia, but we call them family and either way it just plain out doesn't matter...right?!

Getting around to it....

I have been meaning to post these pictures for ever and I just haven't gotten around to it. I put the swing back up upon Zachary's request. Of course I didn't take into mind that it leaves it more open to smacking his brother as he is crawling around. Not sure how long it will actually stay...

Halloween activities

For Halloween this year Zachary chose his costume from the beginning. He wanted to be a ghost. So I ran with it and made him a ghost outfit out of a white sheet and some black fleece. I just knew he wouldn't want to wear it for long and I was right. I was able to get 1 picture out of him and a little "Oooaaahhhh" (his ghost noise). Then when he actually went trick or treating, it didn't work so well with his running walk style. He totally biffed it a few times and then decided that was it. For Lucas, I decided to make him a little handsome devil. Which was funny to me as he is really a great baby. I made a little fleece hat with devil horns, sewed on a pitch fork and ofcourse a little devil's tail. They both were so dang cute! I also decided to make a smaller trick or treat bag. If you have kids, you know the bags/buckets are getting huge. There is definitely no need for a bag/bucket that big. So as far as Zachary knew he got a lot of candy! Well we did have a really full day as my family decided to go to Renessaince Festival Halloween day before trick or treating. As usual it was full of crazy costumes and great entertainment. It was a lot of fun. Here are the pictures...

Surprised? or more like I knew it!

Lucas has really gotten around the couches and anything his level really well for a while now. I just got the idea to try out the trusty walker. It's definitely what helped Zachary learn how to balance himself better. So I thought who knows maybe it would for him as well. Well I guess it did...

Grandmother Suter's Birthday present done - check

Here are the finished pictures of what I made for Grandmother Suter's birthday present. I think it turned out pretty well and I hope she loves it!

The painted pumpkin

So this year I wasn't really feeling like pulling out the pumpkin guts so we opted to let Zachary paint his. My mom gave us this stencil. Needless to say I left it on too long after the paint dried, but Zachary liked it. Of course it just wasn't enough so we stamped on our finger prints.

Dewberry Farm

Anna had found this one place that was advertising a pumpkin patch called Dewberry Farm. We looked it up online and found a ton of really neat things for the kids to do. So this last weekend we took a trip to check it out. We had so much fun! Definitely didn't get there early enough to do everything. It was totally packed and we understood why. There was the pumpkin patch, pig rages, hay rides, playgrounds & forts, slides, swinging from haystacks, corn maze & so on and so forth. It was a really nice day. Not too hot or too cold. I just love all the fall festivals!

Growing, growing.....gone

Grandmother Suter's 80th Birthday Party

A couple of weekends ago, we went out to our cousin Little John and Lauren's house to celebrate 80 years with our Grandmother Suter. I tell you what it was a great time and we had some great food! For Grandmother Suter's birthday present, I made a Carpenter's Wheel wallhanging for her. I thought it would be neat for everybody to sign a square that I would piece together to make the backing. Here are some pictures of that day..
